Winter break is quickly coming to an end (much to my unhappiness). I wouldn't mind going back to school if I didn't have to teach. Unfortunately, I've come to dread it, which makes me want to half-ass all of my lesson plans, which isn't fair to my students, which makes me dread it even more. Maybe I just need a more positive attitude about the whole thing.
I've basically been spending break making really good food (all kinds of soups/stews/chilis, mini vegan pizzas, giant omelettes, etc.), watching Rocko's Modern Life, reading a little, planning for my class next semester, and sleeping way too much. But, I did discover today that I'm actually quasi-happy with 30 of my poems! A step away from my usual
Well I guess I might like one of them (which I'll hate in a week). Grad school may be beneficial after all.
